Thank the Asgardian gods: Thor is finally on Blu-Ray! Had a chance to check this out on my HTPC, and it's quite a sight in high-definition. The colors are crisp and the sound is incredible. One of the unsung characters is the gatekeeper Heimdall - while some purists didn't like him cast as a black actor, he utters my favorite line from the film, which is part of my title.
The special features are cool as well, including the short "The Consultant," which stars Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson) and his sidekick. If you've seen Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk, you will remember the 'button' (extra scene) at the end with Tony Stark and General Ross. Well, to put it simply, if you watch "Consultant," your view of that extra scene is totally changed...how so? WATCH the DVD and you'll know how! I can't wait for the Avengers! And Cap next month can't come too soon...for now, enjpoy this one. I promise you won't be disappointed!
